Who is Dancing Hands Music?

For the past 16 years, my wife Betsy and I have been creating instructional materials for hand drummers. Almost everything you see on this site was created by us. Our specialty is breaking the learning process down into just the right-sized steps in just the right order.

Dancing Hands Music is just us, and if you call the 800 number, I'm the guy who answers the phone. Please feel free to call me up if you have any questions. I'd love to help you figure out how to take the next step on the drummer's path.

Downloads

If you order a download, after you check out and pay you’ll get an email from Dancing Hands Music with the subject “Here’s the link for your downloads.”  That email will look like this:

Click on the blue underlined link.  It will take you to something that looks like this:

Then just click on the underlined link in the middle to download your DVD or CD (in this example, that's "Hip-Grooves-DVD.mp4").  If you're downloading a DVD, allow some time, because the files are relatively large.

The main advantage of the downloadable versions of the DVDs and CDs is that you will get them right away--without the cost or delay involved in getting a physical disc through the mail.  And if your computer doesn’t have a disc drive and you don’t have any easy way to play a disc, then obviously downloads are for you.

But if you’re OK waiting a little bit—and paying for shipping if you live outside the U.S.—then with a physical DVD or CD you’ll be getting a higher quality product.  Particularly with the videos, DVDs give you higher resolution (so they look great on a flat screen tv) and easier navigation (with their menus and chapters).

If for some reason you don't get your download email or if you have a problem downloading, you can always email me at aldworsky@gmail.com.

Shipping

In the U.S.  Shipping is FREE anywhere in the U.S. As soon as I get your order, I'll ship it by first class or priority mail. You can expect to get it in about 3 days.

I wish I could offer free shipping to the rest of the world, but the new much higher international postal rates that went into effect on January 27, 2013 make that impossible.  The U.S. Postal Service basically has one set of rates for Canada and another for the rest of the world, so that's how I've set my rates. Your shipping costs will be added when you're about halfway through the checkout process.

To Canada:

The practical effect of these rates is that you can get up to 3 DVDs (like the Gentle Djembe series) for $5 in shipping.  Getting a book will put you over 13 ounces, so your cost will be $15. (My cost for shipping a book is $20, so I'm picking up $5 of the cost myself.) You should get your order in about a week.

To the rest of the world:

The practical effect of these rates is that you can get a DVD (like Bongo Grooves) for $5 in shipping, 2 DVDs (like the Bongo Grooves and Ultimate Bongo package deal) for $8 in shipping, and 3 DVDs (like the Gentle Djembe series) for $11 in shipping.  Getting a book will put you over 13 ounces, so your cost will be $19. (My cost for shipping a book is $24, so I'm picking up $5 of the cost myself.) You should get your order in about a week.
